Oman: A’Dhahirah Governorate reviews methods of investment in wheat cultivation

The Directorate General of Agriculture and Water Resources in A’Dhahirah Governorate on Wednesday discussed ways to expand the scope of wheat cultivation during the upcoming agricultural season.
A meeting to this effect was held under the auspices of Eng. Salim Ali Al Omrani, Director General of Agriculture and Water Resources in A’Dhahirah Governorate.
The meeting dealt with ways to achieve a greater volume of production of wheat in cooperation between the Directorate General and investors, with the prime objectives of enhancing food security and investment returns.
During the meeting, the Directorate listened to the views of investors about the “executive status of current wheat cultivation projects in the lands allocated for cultivation under the usufruct system”.
The meeting elaborated on the challenges posed to wheat cultivation in the governorate and possible solutions to overcome common difficulties.
