Black Sea & Danube region:
- Forecast for Argentina’s 2025 wheat crop increased to 24.5 M mt, up from 23 M mt previously
- Coming weeks will clarify to what extent buyers will reconsider their future grain purchases due to growing war risks in the Black Sea region
- Feed rations rotate toward wheat/barley across the Black Sea & Danube region, limiting corn upside until logistics improves
- Romanian market is focusing more on the 2026 crop outlook, while 2025/26 wheat exports remain low
- Poland corn moisture is high increasing drying costs
- EU winter rapeseed area is expanding toward 6.5 M ha for 2026 crop, about 7% more y/y
Ukraine:
- Feed barley remained the most expensive among coarse cereals
- Sunflower seed prices recovered, supported by demand and sunflower oil values
- Ukraine harvested 8.9 M mt of sunflower seed, with yield remaining below 2 mt/ha
- Processors are trying to build up soybean stocks
- Ukraine: linseed is becoming a growing niche export oilseed
