Black Sea & Danube region:
- If possible, don’t sale early positions of high-quality wheat due to projected drop in quality
- Black Sea & Danube region: domestic fundamentals pulling up grain prices, global benchmarks pulling down
- Demand for quality wheat remains stable growing. Milling/feed spread increased sharply
- Farmers shifting to winter crops mainly wheat after corn failures
- Wheat quality after rains is higher than expected
- Black Sea & Danube: regional oilseed prices will be influenced by weather-driven yields and large global production
- Romania: UkrAgroConsult corrected SFS 2025 estimations down to 2 MMT. Rumored even lower SFS production
- Rapeseed crushers and farmers: Who wins?
Ukraine:
- Demand for quality wheat remains stable growing. Milling/feed spread increased sharply
- Ukraine wheat exports were 732 K mt in July. The EU duty-free quota was exhausted by almost 40%
- Ukraine is competing with cheaper Russian wheat in the Egyptian market
- Demand from Southeast Asia is growing. However, Indonesia may limit supplies of lower quality wheat
- Rapeseed prices are rising due to limited supply and high demand. Further growth is expected due to the late arrival of SFS and SB harvests
- Price spread of 2024 and 2025 SFS narrows
- A delayed soybean harvest and record exports of soybean meal and oil are supporting the domestic market
