Black Sea & Danube region:
- Surplus of feed grain and falling prices, however corn is fairly stable despite price pressure
- Polish rapeseed crush is slipping
- Sunflower in Serbia: low yields and weak prices
- Sunflower harvesting started in the Black Sea & Danube countries
- russia is the leader in rapeseed oil exports to China
- russia is increasing the oilseed flax supplies
- In the 2025/26 season, russia will offer 5.5-5.6 M mt of sunflower oil
Ukraine:
- In the south and east, conditions are unfavorable for late crops and winter crop sowing
- High demand for “Chinese quality” barley
- Wheat prices have decreased
- The corn market is seasonally quiet and stable
- Early sunflower harvest is off to a rough start. Crushers are expecting a tough season
- The soybean market is stable waiting for the new crop
- The rapeseed harvest exceeded 3 M mt
- Deferred demand and the risk of decreased SFS production will support the new SFO prices
