Malaysia’s palm oil production will reach a record 20 mln tons in 2025
Malaysian officials said Malaysia’s crude palm oil production is projected to increase 3.4% year-on-year to reach a record 20 million tonnes by the end of 2025, SunSirs reports.
Data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) shows that Malaysia’s crude palm oil production in October increased 11.02% from the previous month to 2.04 million tonnes. Exports increased 18.58% to 1.69 million tonnes. MPOB estimates that stocks rose 4.44% in October to 2.46 million tonnes, reaching their highest level since April 2019.
It was previously reported that crude palm oil production in October jumped 11.02% to 2.04 million tonnes, the highest since August 2015, while exports increased 18.58% to 1.69 million tonnes, marking a record annual increase. Previous estimates had projected October stocks at 2.44 million tonnes, production at 1.94 million tonnes, and exports at 1.48 million tonnes.
