Malaysia: April palm oil exports up 9.6%, CPO production 21.5% higher — MPOB

Malaysia’s April palm oil exports rose 9.62% to 1.10 million tonnes from March’s 1.01 million tonnes, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said.
In its April 2025 industry performance report, MPOB said crude palm oil (CPO) production climbed 21.52%, or 298,531 tonnes, to 1.69 million tonnes from 1.39 million tonnes in the previous month.
Palm kernel output increased 21.42% to 409,097 tonnes in April from 336,921 tonnes in March.
Crude palm kernel oil production rose 17.82% to 176,644 tonnes from 149,923 tonnes, while palm kernel cake output advanced 11.70% to 192,857 tonnes from 172,651 tonnes.
CPO stocks increased by 34.83% to 1.05 million tonnes in April compared with 779,391 tonnes a month earlier.
Processed palm oil stockpiles grew 3.99% to 814,673 tonnes from 783,426 tonnes in March, while total palm oil inventories increased 19.37% to 1.87 million tonnes from 1.56 million tonnes.
MPOB said palm kernel oil exports were 77.02% higher at 99,691 tonnes in April from 56,315 tonnes in February.
Palm kernel cake exports advanced 14.52% to 140,833 tonnes from 122,977 tonnes, oleochemical exports rose 5.90% to 221,806 tonnes from 209,449 tonnes a month earlier, and biodiesel exports improved 57.81% to 23,589 tonnes from 14,947 tonnes.
No CPO imports were recorded in April, while palm kernel oil imports edged 12.69% higher to 14,287 tonnes from 12,678 tonnes in March.
