Kyrgyzstan triples import of rice from Pakistan
Kyrgyzstan tripled import of rice from Pakistan in 5 months of 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee.
Kyrgyzstan imported 1,100 tons of rice for almost $470,000 in 5 months. This is 3 times more than in the same period of the previous year, when 369 tons of rice for $131,000 were imported.
The average cost of a ton of Pakistani rice made $422 for 5 months. Last year, the cost made $356 for a ton.
