Key markets for agricultural trade in the new season have been named

For Ukraine, the EU, as well as the countries of the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East, will remain the traditional and key market for agricultural trade in the new season. There will be some volatility with China.
This was stated by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Trade Representative of Ukraine, during the BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV conference.
“Today, we have a clear policy and positive dynamics with all trading partners in the agricultural sector. With the EU, we have a lot of discussions on a narrow range of products for which autonomous trade preferences are important, but in general, there is a clear understanding that the market will be opened. Even if not fully this year, we are moving towards no tariff restrictions,” says Taras Kachka.
According to him, interest in Ukraine is returning in North Africa and the Middle East. A few weeks ago, another veterinary and sanitary protocol was signed with China, which also indicates that the latter is still interested in Ukraine.
“Everyone who trades in agricultural products needs to remain calm and confidently work in the traditional markets that already exist, and this is the most reliable strategy for this season and for the next few years,” says Taras Kachka.
