Yevgeny Karabanov also noted the forecast for wheat imports by the main buyers of Kazakh grain. According to USDA estimates, Uzbekistan will import 4.3 million tons this season, while Afghanistan will import 4.6 million tons.
According to the Grain Union, in the previous marketing season, Uzbekistan imported 4 million tons of wheat and flour (in grain equivalent) from Kazakhstan, while Afghanistan imported approximately 2 million tons.
