Kazakhstan increases supplies of meal to the EU

According to the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2023/24 MY total exports of soybean, sunflower and rapeseed meal from Kazakhstan amounted to 423 thousand tons, which is 44% higher than the previous season. A significant part of exported meal is supplied to EU countries.
According to the European Commission, in MY 2023/24 total imports of meal of major oilseeds from Kazakhstan amounted to 74.3 thousand tons, which is 15% higher than in the previous season and accounts for 17.6% of the total volume of supplies of these products from Kazakhstan.
It is noted that in MY 2022/23, the share of the EU in the total volume of supplies from Kazakhstan was the maximum for the last 5 seasons and amounted to 22.2%. In MY 2023/24, the share of EU countries slightly decreased due to an increase in supplies to China, as well as the traditional markets of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
