Kazakhstan harvested 11.5 million tons of wheat
Harvesting of grain crops in Kazakhstan is nearing completion. To date, farmers have harvested 16.9 million hectares (99.1%). With an average yield of 9.7 c/ha, 16.5 million tons of grain in initial weight have been threshed. Including 11.5 million tons of wheat harvested from the area of 13.5 million hectares, the average yield in the country – 8.5 c/ha. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the total harvested area of crops in 2023 amounted to 24 million hectares, which is 652 thousand hectares more than in 2022. Including the harvesting area of cereals amounted to 17.1 million hectares.
Oilseeds have harvested 2.2 million hectares or 78.3%. With an average yield of 8.5 c/ha, 1.8 million tons of oilseeds have been harvested. Sunseed has been harvested on the area of 845.7 thousand hectares (74%), with an average yield of 11.2 c/ha, 943.2 thousand tons have been threshed.
Potato harvesting has been completed. Gross harvest amounted to 3.6 million tons with a yield of 200.4 c/ha. Gross harvest of vegetable crops reached 4.3 million tons with a yield of 262.4 c/ha.
