Kazakhstan. All vegetable oils production grew against last year
Kazakhstan’s fat-and-oil industry showed the following results in March 2020:
– production of unrefined sunflower oil grew by 25%, while that of sunflower oil refining and production of rape oil rose by 9.5% and 77.4%, respectively;
– production of soybean oil fell by 5% from March 2019, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Production since the beginning of the 2019/20 season:
– growth was observed in unrefined sunflower oil (+42%), refined sunflower oil (+0.1%), soybean oil (+19%), rape oil (+3.8%).
The Statistics Committee under the National Economy Ministry of Kazakhstan reported the following stocks in the country as of April 1:
– oilseed stocks up 7.2% from a year earlier;
– growth is observed in stocks of sunflower seed (+2%), linseed (+1.3%) and soybeans (+129%);
– drops in stocks of rapeseed (-34%), safflower seed (-10%) and mustard (-48%).
