Kazakhstan. A decline in wheat demand from Uzbekistan

Kazakhstan exported 482.4 KMT of wheat in November, or 2% more than in October 2019/20 and down 21% from October 2018/19, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Almost 1.3 MMT had been exported since the season beginning, or 17% less than in the same period in MY 2018/19.

The three months only saw an upward trend in shipments to Tajikistan and China – exports to these countries were up 15% and 27% year-on-year, respectively.

Uzbekistan continues to be a major importer, though it decreased purchases in November that entailed a 2% year-on-year drop in exports.
