Jordan purchased 60 thousand tons of barley
On September 3, the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade held a tender for the purchase of feed barley of random origin. This was reported by Zerno On-Line agency with reference to European traders.
The tender purchased 60 thousand tons of barley from Hans LDC at $222 per ton on C&F Aqaba basis with delivery on October 1-15, 2024.
The following companies also participated in the tender:
- Olam, which offered barley at $228.4 per tonne
- Cargill – $228.9
- Viterra – $230
- Aston – $233
- Al Dahra – $240
On September 12, the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade will hold a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of random-origin flour wheat for delivery in January-February 2024.
