Jordan holds tender for barley purchase
On August 27, the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade held a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin. This was reported by the Zerno On-Line agency with reference to European traders.
60,000 tons of barley were contracted at $264.25 per ton on a C&F basis from Olam with shipment on November 1-15.
Ameropa and Bunge also took part in the tender, offering barley at $273 and $269 per ton, respectively.
The next tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin will be held on September 3. Shipment is scheduled for October 1-November 30.
