Jordan has 5 bidders in the 120,000 T wheat auction, traders claim
Initial assessments indicate that five trading companies have participated in the international bid on Tuesday by Jordan’s state grain buyer for 120,000 metric tonnes of wheat.
CHS, Viterra Al Dahra Ameropa Cereal Crops were thought to be participants. Traders said that no purchase had yet been reported, but results were expected on Tuesday.
The new tender seeks to ship a number of combinations between 50,000 and 60,000 tons. The possible shipment combinations in 2025 are between Feb. 15 – 28, March 1 – 15, March 16 – 31, and April 1 – 15.
Jordan did not purchase any wheat in its previous tender, held on Dec. 3 after seeking bids for up to 120,000 tons. Michael Hogan reports.
