Japan Provides Modern Agricultural Machinery to Ukraine’s Vocational Agrarian Schools
Ukrainian agricultural vocational education institutions have received sets of modern farming machinery from Japan as part of the second phase of the grant program “Urgent Improvement of Equipment for Providing Educational Services.”
This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The equipment was delivered to 12 vocational schools in Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions. Each institution received a tractor, a plough, a disc harrow, a cultivator, and a seeder. The supply was carried out with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The machinery has already arrived, and by March 2026, agricultural lyceums, colleges, and schools will also receive laptops, interactive panels, and desktop computers for IT classrooms. This aims to improve the quality of specialist training and ensure access to modern technologies.
Japan has been supporting Ukrainian education since the start of the full-scale war, investing in the restoration of educational institutions, digital infrastructure, and the development of professional competencies. Under previous phases of the grant program, equipment for digital education centers and training-practical laboratories, including those for agricultural training, has already been provided.
