Iran outstripped the EU in wheat purchases from Kazakhstan
February exports of Kazakh wheat totaled 331 KMT (-18% from January, -12% from February 2019/20). Almost 3 MMT of wheat has been exported this season (+21% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.
Iran continues to actively purchase Kazakh wheat: it has imported almost 63 KMT this season (up 27 times y-o-y).
Most major buyers stepped up imports from the same time last year: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan.
Shipments to the following countries decreased: China, the EU and Turkmenistan.
