Iran outstripped China in wheat purchases from Kazakhstan

July Kazakh wheat exports totaled 407 KMT (-18% from June, +20% from July 2019/20). 5.4 MMT had already been exported in MY 2020/21 (+27% y-o-y), the highest volume since MY 2011/12, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Iran continues to actively buy Kazakh wheat, its share increased to 7% in September-July.
Among major buyers, only the EU reduced imports (by 22%), while other importers stepped up purchases from last season: Uzbekistan (+35%), Tajikistan (+6%), Afghanistan (+50%) and China (+14%).
