India purchased Ukrainian barley for the first time since 2016
Ukrainian barley exports totaled 839 KMT in July or 11.5% down from July 2019/20. Like last year, the largest volume went to China, but this season’s exports were 77% higher, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Saudi Arabia and Israel boosted imports from Ukraine. In July, India purchased Ukrainian barley (6 KMT) for the first time since November 2016.
Demand from the EU plummeted (-90% on the year), and its share in Ukrainian exports slumped from 21% to 3%.
Jordan and Morocco decreased the demand considerably.
