In the export of grain from Ukraine, it is necessary to bet on dry land, – Janusz Wojciechovskyi

In the export of grain from Ukraine, in the conditions of Russia’s demand to block the sea corridor, it is necessary to bet on the development of the land route. This opinion was expressed by the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechovsky.
Now it is necessary to bet on the land route, because it is difficult to count on the permanent restoration of the sea route. Russia can continue to play some kind of game, so it is impossible to build a safe future on this,” noted Janusz Wojciechovsky.
He assured that the EU will support the development of the land corridor for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products with its investments. He noted that in addition to the construction of storage facilities and bringing the track, which is wider in Ukraine, to common standards, Brussels could also be involved in the construction of a pipeline to transport oil from Ukraine to Poland. The construction of this pipeline is an initiative of Kyiv, but the European Commission could find funds for the financial support of this project.
“The idea of building a pipeline that could be used to transport sunflower oil, a major producer of which is Ukraine, is a good one, the EU would be ready to support this initiative,” says Janusz Wojciechowski.
