July corn is down 3¼¢.
July soybeans are down 8¾¢.
CBOT wheat is up 4¢. KC wheat is up 7¢. Minneapolis wheat is up 3¢.
This morning USDA announced Mexico is buying 132,080 metric tons of corn: 60,960 metric tons for the 2023/2024 marketing year and 71,120 metric tons for the 2024/2025 marketing year.
USDA also released the weekly Export Sales report.
“Net U.S. corn export sales for the week ended May 2 came in at 36.9 million bushels compared with trade expectations that ran 23.5 to 43.5 million bushels and the previous week’s sales of 31.2 million bushels,” says The Brock Report. “Net weekly U.S. soybean export sales came in at 16.0 million bushels, in line with trade expectations that ran 9.0 to 25.5 million bushels and the previous week’s sales of 15.5 million.”
Live cattle is currently up $1.20. Feeder cattle are up 70¢. Lean hogs are up 28¢.
Crude oil is up 60¢.
S&P 500 futures are up 5 points. Dow futures are up 102 points.
