Grain transshipment in the ports of Ukraine has increased, edible oil – has decreased
According to the results of 2021, the seaports of Ukraine handled more than 50 million tons of grain cargo, which is 4.1% more than a year earlier. Of these, grain – almost 49.5 million tons (+ 4.7%).
This is evidenced by data from the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine.
As noted, the largest volumes of grain cargo processing were demonstrated by the following ports: Chernomorsk – 14.55 million tons (growth of 9.2%), Mykolaiv – 12.9 million tons (-2.1%) and “Southern” – 9.7 million t (+ 7.2%).
At the same time, the transshipment of vegetable oils in 2021 decreased by 16.7% – to 5.17 million tons.
Sugar transshipment through seaports amounted to 122.79 thousand tons (imports).
At the same time, the cargo turnover of bulk chemical and mineral fertilizers through seaports decreased by 5.1% compared to 2020 (to 2.18 million tons), in the structure of artificial cargo of fertilizers decreased by 4.9% – 361.3 thousand. t.
