Grain exports from Ukraine exceeded 31 million tons
Since the beginning of the 2021/2022 marketing year (MY, July-June) and as of December 29, Ukraine exported 31.57 million tons of cereals and legumes, which is 5.5 million tons more than in the past.
Reportedly, 15.7 million tons of wheat, 10.3 million tons of corn, 5.1 million tons of barley, 59 thousand tons of flour have already been exported.
In 2020/2021 MY, exports of wheat amounted to 16.64 million tons, corn – 23.08 million tons, barley – 4.23 million tons, flour – 0.13 million tons.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ukraine exported 56.72 million tons of grain and leguminous crops in 2019/2020 MY.
In 2020, 83.8 million tons of main crops were harvested from an area of 24.1 million hectares. In particular, 65.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed from an area of 15.3 million hectares.
Recall that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said that Ukraine is completing the harvest of grain, legumes and oilseeds with a record amount of 106 million tons.
