Malaysia will once again take centre stage in the global palm oil industry as it hosts the prestigious Malaysian Palm Oil Board International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition (PIPOC 2025) from 18 to 20 November at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

The biennial event, organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) the nation’s leading oil palm research and development agency under the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK), is among the world’s largest platforms for knowledge exchange and innovation in the sector.

Carrying the theme “Transforming Today, Empowering Tomorrow Through Innovation”, PIPOC 2025 will bring together over 2,000 delegates, 100 renowned speakers, 200 poster presentations and 400 exhibitors from across the globe.

The congress will spotlight how innovation, technology, and multi-stakeholder collaboration can reinforce the industry’s resilience and sustainability in an ever-evolving marketplace.

According to MPOB Director-General, Datuk Dr Ahmad Parveez Hj. Ghulam Kadir, the congress will feature four concurrent conferences focusing on Agriculture, Biotechnology and Sustainability; Milling, Processing and Bio-Refining; Downstream and Value Addition; and Global Economics and Marketing.

Among the highlights will be the Henri Fauconnier Lecture delivered by Tan Sri Lee Oi Hian, Executive Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Berhad, alongside a keynote by Dr Ravigadevi Sambanthamurthi, Fellow of the UK’s Royal Society, who will share pioneering insights into biotechnology and crop breeding.

Complementing the conferences, a large-scale exhibition open to the public free of charge, will showcase the latest in agritechnology, oleochemicals, logistics, downstream innovations and research. Delegates will also be able to participate in networking events, a golf tournament, and technical visits to plantations and research centres, offering first-hand insights into Malaysia’s oil palm sector.
