Export govidina and swine from the US continued to grow in the first 7 months of 2024 year
U.S. beef and pork exports increased significantly in July 2024, with beef exports reaching 110,419 tons valued at $910.9 million and pork exports totaling 241,210 tons valued at $710.5 million.
This growth is largely due to increased exports to Asia, especially Japan and Taiwan, as well as Mexico. Despite challenges such as economic difficulties and currency fluctuations, demand for U.S. beef in these markets remains strong.
Pork exports to Mexico also reached record highs, contributing to overall growth for the first seven months of 2024.
While beef exports to Japan have increased in value, volume and tourism-driven demand, there are concerns about the potential impact of a stronger yen on exports. Real income growth in Japan and robust demand in Mexico, despite economic challenges, point to a positive outlook for U.S. beef exports in the future.
