European Commission intervened in the situation with stolen Ukrainian grain in Israel
The European Commission has appealed to the Israeli Foreign Ministry regarding the situation with the unloading of the second Russian ship with stolen Ukrainian grain in the port of Haifa. Brussels noted that the “shadow fleet” ship received permission to service in the Israeli port, although the Ukrainian authorities had previously contacted the Israeli side on this issue.
The European Union condemns actions that help finance Russian military efforts and circumvent sanctions imposed by the bloc’s countries. The European Commission threatens targeted actions against individuals and legal entities of third countries if they continue to ignore the restrictions imposed.
Brussels stressed that the approval of a loan for Ukraine for 90 billion euros and the 20th package of sanctions demonstrate the unwavering support of our country and the pressure on Russia until it stops the war of aggression.
Recall that due to Israel’s agreement to accept stolen grain, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sent a note of protest to the Israeli ambassador, and President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of a sanctions package.
