EU vegetable oil imports will fall by 19% this season
According to European Commission forecasts, EU countries will import 5.6 million tonnes of vegetable oils this season, 19% less than in the 2024/2025 season.
Palm oil imports could decline by 26% to 2.5 million tonnes, sunflower oil by 10% to 2.3 million tonnes, and soybean oil by 28% to 0.5 million tonnes. Rapeseed oil imports will remain at last season’s level of 0.3 million tonnes.
