Egypt cancelled a wheat purchase tender

Egypt’s GASC cancelled a tender to purchase milling wheat for delivery on August 21-31, 2021.
According to unofficial information, the tender was canceled because of a sharp rise in sea freight rates.
At the previous tender, on May 24, 2021, 240 KMT of wheat from Romania were purchased for delivery on August 8 – 22, 2021. The average purchase price was USD 276.60/MT C&F.
