Demand for rapeseed to grow in North America – forecast

Demand for canola in North America is increasing, and this trend may continue next year due to the growing number of requests to purchase raw materials from both the biofuel and food sectors. The U.S. Canola Association (U.S. Canola Association) press office said.
“Given the planned expansion of canola acreage and processing capacity in North America, there should be enough supply to satisfy all markets,” the industry association commented.
They also emphasized that rapeseed oil is an excellent feedstock for biodiesel, renewable diesel and clean aviation fuel (SAF).
At the same time, according to representatives of the Association, prices for rapeseed and rapeseed oil “can be kept under control”, because the supply is growing simultaneously with the production volumes of oilseed and refined products.
