Deforestation in Brazil’s Amazon up more than 30% in July, according to Inpe
 
        				        			Deforestation in Brazil’s Amazon rose 33.2% in July from a year earlier, according to data from government space research agency Inpe on Wednesday.
Despite the increase seen in July, deforestation in the region fell 45.7% from August 2023 to July 2024, according to Inpe.
