Croatia’s wheat output down 13.5% y/y in 2023 – first estimate

Croatia’s output of soft and hard wheat (winter, spring and seed) fell by an estimated annual 13.5% in the crop year 2023, to some 820,000 tonnes, the statistical office said on Thursday.
Winter barley and spring barley production dropped 20.8% year-on-year to 252,000 tonnes, the statistical office said in a first estimate of production of cereals in the current year.
It said that the production of rapeseed decreased by 24.1% to 44,000 tonnes and production of oats went down 2.1% to 47,000 tonnes compared to last year.
