Croatia’s wheat output down 1.9% in 2024

The production of soft and hard wheat (winter, spring and seed) in Croatia fell by an estimated 1.9% on the year in 2024, to 806,000 tonnes, the national statistical office said on Friday.
Winter barley and spring barley production increased 1.7% to 295,000 tonnes last year, while sunflower production grew 10.8% to 175,000 tonnes, the statistical office said in a statement, citing provisional data.
Production of maize rose by an estimated 5.1% to 2.093 million tonnes, sugar beet production dropped by 5.6% to 472,000 tonnes and rapeseed production climbed 23.3% to 53,000 tonnes in 2024 compared to the previous year.
