December corn is up less than a penny this morning.
November soybeans are up 5½¢.
December wheat contracts are higher. CBOT wheat is up 4¼¢. KC wheat is up 4¾¢. Minneapolis wheat is up 2¼¢.
This morning USDA announced several export sales:
- Mexico is buying 169,926 metric tons of corn for the 2024/2025 marketing year.
- South Korea is buying 130,000 metric tons of corn for the 2024/2025 marketing year.
- Unknown destinations are buying: 198,192 metric tons of corn for the 2024/2025 marketing year, and 380,000 metric tons of soybeans for the 2024/2025 marketing year.
Later today, USDA is expected to release the weekly Crop Progress report. Al Kluis, managing director of Kluis Commodity Advisors, says he expects the report will peg corn harvest progress in the top 18 growing states above 65% complete and soybean harvest in the top growing states more than 80% complete.
December live cattle are down 10¢ this morning. January feeder cattle are down 40¢. December lean hogs are up 10¢.
December crude oil is up $1.25.
The U.S. Dollar Index December contract is up to 103.46.
December S&P 500 futures are down 7 points. December Dow futures are down 52 points.
