Corn exports from Ukraine exceeded 10 mln tons

The exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of January 8 totaled over 19.4 mln tonnes. This is down 4.2 mln tonnes, or 18% compared to the same period last season.
This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 7.8 mln tons of wheat have been shipped, which is 9% less than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 1.2 million tons, which is 30% less than last year.
Rye was shipped in 1 thousand tons (-92%).
Ukraine exported 10.3 mln tons of corn, which is 3 mln tons or 22% less than the same date last season.
Ukraine exported 60.1 thsd tonnes of flour, down 10.7 thsd tonnes or 15% compared to the previous year.
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and pulses totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
