Canada’s durum production to fall 0.5 mln tons in 2025/26

Agriculture Canada (AAFC) has released its monthly report reviewing the balances of major crops. According to the report, durum production in 2025/26 will fall to 5.4 million tonnes from 5.9 million tonnes in 2024/25.
The forecast for exports in the new season is 4.6 million tonnes, which is 8% less than in the 2024/25 season, but still above the average by 4%. Export demand may shift from Europe and North Africa to the United States and Mexico.
