Canada reduced canola and corn exports this season
From the start of the current season, which began on August 1, 2025, to February 22, 2026, Canada exported 28.8 million tonnes of grains, pulses, and oilseeds, a 3% decrease from the same period last season, according to Zerno Online, citing the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC).
Canola exports fell to 4,268,700 tonnes (-29% compared to the same period last season), while corn exports fell to 398,100 tonnes (-66%).
Soft wheat exports increased to 12,645 tonnes (+10%), barley to 1,983,700 tonnes (+65%), peas to 1,410,800 tonnes (+3%), lentils to 803,500 tonnes (+5%), and soybeans to 3,563,300 tonnes (+3%).
Durum wheat exports totaled 3,109,400 tonnes, the same as last season.
