Brazil sets new soybean export record — over 102 million tons by the end of October

Brazil’s soybean exports are forecast to reach 102.2 million tonnes by the end of October, exceeding the annual volumes for all of 2024 and 2023, indicating no competition from the United States in the supply market for Chinese importers, grain exporters’ association Anec said on Wednesday, Reuters reported.
The previous record for soybean exports from Brazil — the world’s largest producer and supplier — was set in 2023 at 101.3 million tonnes, according to Anec.
In addition to a record soybean harvest of more than 170 million tonnes in 2025, Brazilian farmers are benefiting from strong demand from China, which is locked in a trade war with the United States.
“China remains the main destination and driving force for Brazilian soybean exports,” Anec said.
According to the association, in September, China imported 6.5 million tons of soybeans from Brazil, accounting for 93% of total exports — a historically high share in the country’s supply structure.
Overall, China provides 79.9% of Brazilian soybean exports in 2025, while in 2021-2024 this figure was 74%, and in 2024 — 76%.
In its first monthly report for October, Anec forecasts exports of 7.12 million tons of soybeans, which is almost 2.7 million tons more than in the same month last year.
At the end of the year, Brazil is expected to export 110 million tons of soybeans.
“Between November and December, about 8 million tons of shipments are expected, confirming the annual estimate of 110 million tons,” the association said.
Corn shipments this month reached 6 million tons, about 380,000 tons more than a year ago.
From the beginning of the year to October, corn exports are estimated at 30 million tons, making Brazil the world’s second largest exporter of the grain, after the United States.
