Belarus. Winter crop condition

Weather conditions. Due to a cold spell on November 18-23, the average daily air temperature decreased below +5°С – this indicates the end of the growing season.

Winter crop condition. Fall growth of winter crops in 2019 lasted longer than usual, therefore plants got normally developed. As of the end of the growing season, crop condition in most areas was rated good. The cold spell has caused plants to undergo hardening. Because of below-zero air temperatures, the soil started freezing. The fields are actually free of snow, reports UkrAgroConsult.
