Belarus. Spring planting is hampered by unstable temperatures
Weather conditions. The weather worsened because of a cold spell.
Moisture supply. The 0-10-cm soil layer is moderately wet in Brest, Gomel regions and in many parts of Minsk region. Tillage, fertilization, moisture conservation operations and care for winter crops are underway in dried areas. In most of the country, the 0-10-cm soil layer remains very wet.
Crop condition. Spring planting progress is hampered by unstable air temperatures along with some freezing of the topsoil. The air temperature decrease slowed growth of winter crops, UkrAgroConsult reports.
