Belarus. Plants are losing winter hardiness due to unusually warm weather

Weather conditions. Unusually warm weather prevents winter crops from entering the state of deep winter dormancy.
Moisture supply. The fields in most of the country are actually snow free. The soil is mostly thawed, though it is still slightly frozen predominantly in the east of the country. On December 1-10, soil temperatures at the depth of winter grains’ tillering node and perennial grasses’ root neck exceeded optimal values.
Winter crop condition. Under the impact of increased air temperatures, plants are losing winter hardiness, reports UkrAgroConsult.
