Autumn wheat-sown area in Bosnia’s Federation down 1.4% in 2023

A total of 16,479 hectares were put to wheat in Bosnia’s Federation during autumn sowing in 2023, down 1.4% year-on-year, the entity’s statistical office said on Friday.
Area sown with barley last autumn covered 3,680 hectares, down 8.0% on an annual comparison basis, the statistical office said.
Area sown with rye fell 5.5% on the year to 1,406 hectares.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
