Autumn sowing in Ukraine is nearing completion

As of November 4, Ukrainian farmers have sown 5.908 mln ha of winter crops. This is 90% of the projected area.
In particular, the following were sown:
- winter wheat – 4,303.5 thsd ha;
- winter barley – 478.7 thsd ha;
- winter rye – 65.9 thsd ha.
Among the leaders in grain crops sowing are Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions. Grain sowing has already been completed in Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Rivne and Chernihiv regions.
Winter rapeseed has been sown on 1.06 mln ha. Most of it is in Vinnytsia, Odessa and Khmelnytsky regions.
Farmers in 14 regions have completely completed sowing.
