Argentina may increase soybean production to 53-53.5 mln tons and corn production to 50-51 mln tons
Rains in agricultural areas of Argentina have improved soil moisture before sowing soybeans and corn, reports Rosario Grain Exchange.
Argentina is one of the world’s largest exporters of soybeans and grains. Now the country is starting to sow corn and soybeans. After a dry winter in spring, it rained almost every day in the country, which reached the southern regions on the weekend and improved the conditions for sowing.
According to the forecast of Rosario exchange, in MY 2024/25 Argentina will produce 53-53.5 mln tonnes of soybeans, 50-51 mln tonnes of corn and 18.8 mln tonnes of wheat, which is to be harvested in January.
According to USDA, in MY 2023/24 the country harvested 48 mln tonnes of soybeans and 50 mln tonnes of corn.
