Argentina has reduced export duties on many agricultural products

Аргентина

The Argentine authorities have reduced export duties on a number of agricultural products, and these changes will be permanent, said the country’s President Javier Miley.

“They will be reduced from 6.75% to 5% on poultry and beef, from 12% to 9.5% on corn, from 12% to 9.5% on sorghum, from 7.5% to 5.5% on sunflower, from 33% to 26% on soybeans, and from 31% to 24.5% on soy by-products,” the head of state said, speaking at an event at the expo center.

According to him, the authorities are seeking to stimulate the agricultural sector, which “has suffered greatly from these taxes over the past 20 years.”

“These cuts are permanent and will not be reversed as long as I am in office. Getting rid of tariffs has been an obsession of this administration, and we have made significant progress in this direction,” Miley said.
