Almost a third of corn has been harvested in Ukraine

As of October 24, Ukraine has harvested 37,559.5 thsd t of grains from 8,400.3 thsd ha, covering 73% of the sown area. Specifically:

  • Wheat — 22.52 mln t with a yield of 4.49 t/ha on 5.02 mln ha;

  • Barley — 5.33 mln t with a yield of 3.96 t/ha on 1.35 mln ha;

  • Peas — 626.6 thsd t with a yield of 2.36 t/ha on 266.0 thsd ha;

  • Corn — 7,713.1 thsd t on 1,314.9 thsd ha, representing 31% of sown area, with an average yield of 5.89 t/ha (up from 5.08 t/ha at the beginning of October).

Other grains and pulses totaled 876.7 thsd t from 317.6 thsd ha.

Oilseeds as of October 23 reached 11,156.7 thsd t, including:

  • Sunflower seeds — 7,837.9 thsd t from 4,235.7 thsd ha, average yield 1.85 t/ha (slightly up from 1.83 t/ha at the beginning of October);

  • Soybeans — 3,502.1 thsd t from 1,515.1 thsd ha, average yield 2.31 t/ha (up from 2.22 t/ha);

  • Rapeseed — 3,318.8 thsd t from 1,275.6 thsd ha.

Overall, 82% of sunflower, 70% of soybean, and the entire rapeseed area have been harvested.

Sugar beet harvest has reached 5,642.7 thsd t from 108.1 thsd ha, covering 55% of sown area.
