Almost 5 million hectares of winter crops sown in Ukraine

Ukrainian farmers sowed 4,985 thousand hectares of winter crops. Four regions: Volyn, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia and Poltava regions have fully completed sowing winter crops. In addition, agricultural producers in all regions of Ukraine have completed sowing winter rape, sowing 1,136 thou hectares.
In the rest of the regions, wheat, millet and rye are being sown. In total, farmers have already sown 3,849 thou hectares of winter grains, including 3,456 thou hectares of wheat, 322 thou hectares of barley, and 71 thou hectares of rye.
The increase in winter grain plantings for the week amounted to 506 thsd ha.
