Algeria to hold tenders for wheat and barley procurement
Algerian state-owned company OAIC has announced tenders for the purchase of at least 50,000 tonnes of milling wheat and at least 50,000 tonnes of feed barley of any origin, Reuters reports.
Bids for the tenders will close on November 11. Bids will be valid until November 12.
Under the terms of the tender, the wheat and barley will be shipped from December 1, 2025, to February 15, 2026, if they are of European or Black Sea origin. Shipments will take place to the ports of Mostaganem or Tenes. For grain shipments from South America or Australia, the deadline is extended by one month.
