Algeria bought corn in tender, volume unclear, traders say
Algerian state agency ONAB is believed to have bought an unknown volume of animal feed corn expected to be sourced from Argentina or Brazil in an international tender for up to 80,000 metric tons which closed on Wednesday, European traders said on Monday.
Trader estimates of volumes bought were between 40,000 to 80,000 tons. Prices were unavailable.
Corn shipment was sought by Oct. 20 at the latest in two consignments each of between 30,000 and 40,000 tons.
Results reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later.
