About 150 thsd ha of sunflower remain unharvested in Ukraine
Around 150,000 hectares of sunflower remain unharvested in Ukraine, and the quality of these crops is expected to be low, with most volumes likely to be used for technical purposes due to high acidity levels. The data was reported by Spike Brokers.
According to brokers, global market prices are currently in a holding pattern, awaiting further movement and adjustments to changing market conditions. Sunflower oil exports in November were almost identical to last year, while sunflower meal exports nearly doubled compared to November 2024.
Prices across six Northern European ports remained unchanged at $1,330 by the end of the week.
In Odesa ports, sunflower oil and meal traded at $1,230–1,240, while sunflower meal was priced at $220/225 (loose/pellet).
The spot index for sunflower seeds delivered for processing within 30 days increased by $5 including VAT, reaching $690.
